Green Tea
March 31st, 2007 Posted in Smart TipsYou must have noticed the steady stream of health benefiting news of drinking green tea. Studies show that green tea can cut cancer risk, lower your blood pressure, protect you from Parkinson and Alzheimer disease, make your heart healthy and may be a lot more which we do not know yet. I knew about all these but it did not motivate me enough to make green tea my daily routine until now.
A recent research found that in addition to all known benefits, green tea can even fight against HIV. The secret lies in a component called EGCG, which fights back HIV from taking control of immune system. Drinking green tea may lower the risk of HIV and also could slow down HIV spread. Although more research is needed, this is enough for me to start drinking green tea. I am sure there will be a lot more health benefiting news coming out in the future and there is no need to wait for any conclusive reports. I will start drinking green tea today and it will be one of my lifetime healthy habits.
