Pathfinder

In pre-Columbus America, a Viking boy is abandoned when Norse army shipwrecks on the Eastern shores. The Wampanoag tribe takes the young stranger in as one of their own although his kinsmen set out to destroy the very same Indians. Over the course of time, the boy grows into a warrior and considers Indians as his families. When the Norsemen come back again to kill peaceful Indians, the 25 year old warrior wages a personal war against his own people to save his families and to protect his woman.

This movie has Canadian connection. It was shot in Vancouver, British Columbia, alone the coastline (another movie, The Lookout was shot in Canada too). Karl Urban, a New Zealand native, plays the lead role and I think he blends into the role very well. I have not seen him doing many movies. Pathfinder is directed by Marcus Nispe, a German native. I liked Pathfinder and I would give this movie a Must See rating for my readers.
