What Is Web 2.0
May 1st, 2007 Posted in Internet and TechnologyWeb 2.0 does not refer to any new or updated version of internet. Web 2.0 is just a phrase or term. Tim O’Reilly, founder of O’Reilly Media, started this term and now it is widely popular and widely used.
Web 2.0 refers to a new kind of web. The web has evolved so much that now it is an indispensable part of our life and we don’t use the web same way as it used to be. We use it everyday and we use it daily to do stuff like social networking, gathering information, organizing events, sharing calendar etc. So Web 2.0 means the changes made to the web to make it an integral part of everyday living. Some examples of Web 2.0 would be Blogging, Google Calendar, Wikipedia, Netvibes etc.
