Canada’s Greenest Shopping Bag
June 30th, 2007 Posted in Canada and BeyondOntario shoppers use roughly 7 million plastic bags a day and the province is waging a war on plastic bags to cut this number in half within five year. Loblaw’s latest addition – Canada’s Greenest Shopping Bag would definitely make this war a lot easier to win.
Some of the features of Canada’s Greenest Shopping Bag:
- Made from 85% post-consumer recycled plastic
- One bag should last 50 trips to grocery or 1 year
- 10 kg capacity – twice the size of a regular plastic bag
- You can recycle this bag again
- Costs only $0.99
- Get 50 PC Points every time you use this bag
The bag looks great and feels comfortable to carry. Definitely I will start using it to save some trees. I hope more and more shoppers will start using recycled products and stop using plastic bags to reach Ontario’s goal to cut the use of plastic bags.
