Save 1% On Everything

Cad%20Money.jpgNo, I am not talking about any magic coupons to get 1% off on everything. I am talking about something you do all the time and by doing the same thing intelligently, you will be able to save 1% on everything. I know that saving 1% does not sound like a big deal but if you add up all your transactions, I don’t see why you can’t save $20 to $100 every year – which is something you should definitely not ignore.

These days reward credit cards are everywhere. Your reward points can translate into 1% cash in dollar figure. The major disadvantage of a reward card is that it does not allow you to use your reward points anywhere else. Example: If you have a reward card earning Air Miles, you will only be able to use those miles to obtain products and services offered by Air Miles.

I prefer cash back reward cards because cash has no restrictions and cash never expires. How to find better cash back credit cards? The answer is simple – You have to do your homework. Perform an online search by entering these keywords, such as, “cash back”, “credit cards”, Canada etc. Most of the major financial institutions offer cash back cards in Canada and do your research to find the one which suits you most.

Tips: 1. Cashback cards only work for those who pay off their balance every month. 2. Avoid paying annual fee or any fees on credit cards.
