Easy Green
November 8th, 2007 Posted in Smart TipsTo become a socially responsible environmental citizen, I am always looking for ways to go Green. Here are a few simple things that you can do to go Green.
- Stop using cleaning products which contain harmful chemicals such as phosphates, petrochemicals, chlorine, bleach, ammonia etc.
- Try to use Green cleaning products instead.
- It may not be always possible to find Green replacements.
- Baking soda, vinegar and lemon juice can be used in many instances.
- All purpose cleaner can be made by mixing banking soda and vinegar with water.
- Banking soda can replace dishwashing liquid.
- To clean toilet bowl naturally, use mixture of baking soda, vinegar and lemon juice.
- To clean tub and tile, use baking soda and vinegar.
- Switch from conventional poisonous laundry detergents, fabric softeners to environment friendly Green detergents and softeners.
Browse your local supermarkets and you will be amazed at the selection of Green products you will find. President Choice has already begun to Green its products and I am sure other manufacturers will follow suit. If you don’t see any common items you want, start asking your local supermarkets whether they have any plans to stock it in the near future. Working together we can make a difference.
