Do You Have The Right ADJ RSS Feed?

July 7th, 2008 Posted in Miscellaneous

Do you have the right RSS feed? If your feed looks like this – http://www.adawnjournal.com/a-dawn-journal/rss.xml, you are subscribing directly from my site. This feed is going to be invalid in a few days. Please change your feed to http://feeds.feedburner.com/adawn. Due to the change of blogging platform, direct site RSS feed will no longer work. However, FeedBurner feed will work as I have the capability to change its originating feed. If you subscribe from the site right now, you will have FeedBurner feed, and it will continue working.

Also, once the transformation is complete, ADJ sub-links will no longer work. What is a sub-link? Here is an example:
http://www.adawnjournal.com/a-dawn-journal/2008/7/1/a-dawn-journal-is-going-through-a-facelift.html. Main link www.adawnjournal.com will not change. If you have an old article saved, it won’t work. If you are looking for an old article, just do a search on the new site. I probably will loose a lot of traffic due to this. Lots of sites are linking to ADJ via sub-links. However, there is nothing I can do at this point. Programmers are reposting all old articles manually on the new site, and new sub-links will be different than old sub-links.

I am expecting my programmers to wrap up Project Redesign by Wednesday. Once I get the hang of the new admin section of this new platform (should not take more than two days), you can expect lots of new articles on various topics. I really appreciate your patience with ADJ throughout this new makeover process.
