the Economic Recession has been pretty hard on us. some of my friends lost their job because of the massive job cuts. i just hope that our economy becomes better in the following years.

Do you think all these homes that banks trying to foreclose and cars/goods the repo men trying to repossess were just bought in a recession? That’s very short sighted thinking. These were bought long before economic crisis started.

This article does not suggest to make these jobs a long term prospect. These are light hearted suggestions to ride out the recession. I am not sure how many readers would like to work at a fast food restaurant or Goodwill for their lifetime. I am a bit surprised that you are looking at these jobs that way.

Three incidents of death by shooting does not come into percentage. You have more chances of dying just by walking on the street than these shooting incidents. Is that going to make us staying in home and not going outside to walk? Another short sighted concern.

Your comment about the job of “repo man” being recession proof may prove to be a short sighted, ill thought out statement. In a recession the auto market crashes, what is he going to repo if there are no cars being sold? The short gain in the beginning does not nearly offset the long term lack of income. The second concern may be that an inexperienced “repo man” is more likely to suffer the fate of at least three asset recovery professionals in the US recently, death by shooting.
