One thing that really hits home to me is when you hear all kinds of 'analysts' that say to invest less in guaranteed investment vehicles and more into equities and riskier vehicles because investors are at a higher risk of not overcoming inflation over time. I'd say a lot of investors wished they had more safety in their respective portfolios when they saw their mutual funds plummet during the meltdown! Nice post.
